Man shot, killed during yard sale at Boyle Heights home

A 22-year-old man was shot Thursday afternoon in front of his home in Boyle Heights, where he was holding a yard sale, authorities said.

Los Angeles police said Joseph Ulloa was in front of his home in the 1100 block of North Evergreen Street  about 1:30 p.m. when he was shot multiple times “for no apparent reason.”

Ulloa was rushed to a hospital but died there.

Police have no suspect and released no further information on the shooting.

To report information about the incident, call the Hollenbeck police station at (323) 342-8958.

wow the cops really want to break this open.
they get the chance to put out a description and other info..................
nothing
"just call us if u know something"
lazy

Awful that this young man was shot and died, but the idea of a yard sale on a thursday is a little unusual. Does the Times have reporters that investigate these incidents or does it just print police distributed information?

See the sad thing is this guy had 2 kids and one happened to see him while he was gasping for his last breaths. Cops don't care about us in Los Angeles. To them it's just another punk off the street but how would they like it if it were their son or daughter? i bet they would have every cop in Los Angeles searching for leads. This whole system is corrupt. R.I.P Joseph Ulloa. Good son, father and brother. We will always remember and love you.

Yes we all agree on the corrupt system. May god bless his family and RIP Joseph Ulloa. We will miss you but we know your in a better place now.

Love, The Mendoza Family

Can someone tell me what exactly happened? joseph was my friend . . i cant believe this happen. when i heard i was shock. anyone know what exactly happened? R I P JOSEPH

Hey JFLJASDFLKJ, Funny how the cops never heard the part about Ulloa's child watching his/her father dying. If YOU know something or you were there when it happen, why don't you call the detectives and tell them what you know. Or are you going to just sit there talking smack and keeping your eyes open but your mouth closed. Go on; I challenge you to make the call. Ulloa's family has the phone numbers. Good father, brother, son, gangster?? Oh, you forgot the last one didn't you.
