Woman with bag of meth is arrested by Border Patrol agents in O.C.

A 50-year-old woman packing a 4-pound bag of methamphetamine hidden in her jacket was arrested by Border Patrol agents in San Clemente, authorities said Wednesday. Siezed meth

The woman was in a shuttle van that was inspected Monday at the checkpoint on Interstate 5. Agents were alerted by a drug-sniffing dog, the Department of Homeland Security said.

The methamphetamine was wrapped in cellophane and duct tape, according to the department. Agents estimated the value at $70,000.

The woman and methamphetamine were turned over to authorities with the federal Drug Enforcement Administration. She was described as a U.S. citizen.
