San Gabriel Valley man arrested for allegedly molesting teenage boy he met online

A 48-year-old Rowland Heights man has been booked on suspicion of molesting a 15-year-old boy after they met in an online chat room, police said Tuesday.

Joe Phillip Morales was arrested Friday in connection with multiple lewd acts with the 15-year-old Redlands teen that took place between November 2010 and February 2011, according to the Redlands Police Department.

Redlands police described the teen as a runaway. Morales was being held in lieu of $25,000 bail at a jail in Rancho Cucamonga.
