O.C. swim instructor charged with sexually assaulting 15-year-old girl

Todd SousaAuthorities in Orange County on Thursday were looking for possible of victims of a swim instructor who is charged with multiple counts of sexually assaulting a 15-year-old girl he coached.

Todd Robert Sousa, 36, who lives in Irvine, is scheduled to be arraigned Friday on charges including 13 felony counts of lewd acts with a child and three felony counts of unlawful sexual intercourse, according to the Orange County district attorney's office. 

Prosecutors said Sousa allegedly assaulted the girl while working as her swim instructor between April 2010 and mid-February, a period in which he was co-owner of Swim Venture. The company provided lessons in leased pools for children and adults across Orange County.

Sousa is charged with a series of escalating assaults during which the girl was attacked in an office, an equipment closet and a car, according to the district attorney's office.

He allegedly gave alcohol to the girl and a friend, who waited outside a room while Sousa had sex with the girl, according to prosecutors.

Authorities said the investigation was ongoing and asked anyone with information to contact Investigator Lou Gutierrez at (714) 347-8794.

a roomy room?

Hey, this dude had a wife and children, ( not mentioning a good source of income) and still he didn't care about them, this is the kind of criminal that hides behind the community and then attack, wolf on sheep's skin
