More rain headed to Southern California

Rainbow over Altadena on Monday.

Forecasters say another cold rainstorm is on tap for Southern California and set to arrive by Wednesday evening.

The breezy, Arctic storm is expected to drop 1 to 2 inches of rain and stir up to 20 mph to 30 mph winds throughout the region, said Stuart Seto, weather specialist with the National Weather Service in Oxnard.

The storm will be only about one-fourth the strength of Sunday's fierce downpour, which shattered rainfall records in several communities and downed trees with 50 mph and 60 mph winds.

But the new storm should shower the area with even more moisture during a rainy season that already has been wetter than predicted.

Intermittent showers and cloudy skies are likely to continue through the weekend, Seto said, yielding to warmer weather and clearer skies by Monday.

yea! I can keep my sprinklers off for another couple weeks! Now if only the city would do the same! lol

great, there goes the weekend.

Yeah, it seems that all the rains choose to coincide with weekends... and rain often enough to keep the ocean polluted with run-off

I have to laugh at all the fools in the neighborhood who are too lazy to turn off their sprinklers! What a magnificient waste of water and money literally down the drain. Americans are incredible.
