Long Beach police seek help in solving slaying of 29-year-old L.A. man

Philip Victor Williamson Long Beach police asked Monday for the public's help in solving the slaying of a 29-year-old man who died after being shot last week in an alley.

Philip Victor Williamson, 29, of Los Angeles was found wounded in an alley in the 1500 block of Pine Avenue on Thursday night by a passerby, according to the Long Beach Police Department.

Williamson, who had been shot once in the upper body, was taken by paramedics to a hospital, where he later died. 

A native of Chico who was known to frequent the West Los Angeles area, police said they had little to go on and were interested in any information on the case. They said they want to find anyone who could help them determine Williamson's movements and contacts the night of the shooting.
