El Camino High locked down after suspicious package report

El Camino High School in Woodland Hills was locked down after police responded to a report of a suspicious package near the campus.

A bomb squad and patrol cars saturated the area after the package was reported shortly after 2:30 p.m. in the 5400 block of Valley Circle Boulevard, the Los Angeles Police Department said.

Officers were still on the scene shortly after 4 p.m., and it was unclear whether the campus remained locked down, according to the LAPD.

No other details were available.
