Sheared hydrant sends plume of water onto Pacific Coast Highway in Malibu

A sheared hydrant sent a 50-feet-high gusher of water Tuesday onto Pacific Coast Highway in Malibu.

A trash truck hit the fire hydrant on the 20000 block of PCH shortly after 7:36 a.m., said Los Angeles County Fire Inspector Don Kunitomi.

He said firefighters were working to stop the flow by shutting down a nearby water main.

I'm against this sort of thing.

I'd still rather be there than in New York where we're supposed to get another 10 inches of snow.
