3.8 earthquake felt in San Diego, Orange counties

A 3.8 earthquake struck San Diego County on Tuesday morning, but there were no reports of damage or injuries.

The temblor hit at 3:43 a.m. neat the Mt. Palmoar Obseratory, roughly 20 miles from Escondido and 38 miles northeast of San Diego.

According to the U.S. Geological Survey, the quake was felt across San Diego County and as far north as Mission Viejo, Newport Beach and Costa Mesa.
