Small earthquake hits Huntington Beach

A small earthquake was reported Thursday morning in Huntington Beach.

The temblor occurred at 4:13 a.m. in Huntington Beach proper, about 28 miles south of Los Angeles. There were no reports of damage or injuries.

The quake appears to have been along the Newport-Inglewood fault, which was responsible for several sizable temblors including the 1933 Long Beach quake.
