February 22, 2011 |  3:27 pm

L.A. County Coroner personnel recover the remains of a man found buried in the backyard of a home near in the Lennox area of Los Angeles on Wednesday, Feb. 15, 2011.

A second body found at a house in Lennox was identified Monday as Gabriela Stein, wife of homeowner Jim Stein, 53, whose body was also uncovered on the property, authorities said.

Los Angeles County coroner’s officials informed detectives of the identification Tuesday afternoon, Lt. Don Slawson said.  Both bodies were unearthed last week in the backyard of the home in the 4800 block of 112th Street.

Gabriela’s remains were found Saturday afternoon, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department said. She’d been reported missing since January, about a month after she reported her husband missing on Dec. 17.

Marcos Lomeli, 26, a renter at the property, was arrested Wednesday on suspicion of carjacking. His girlfriend, Jenny Salazar, was arrested on suspicion of false imprisonment.

It was a tip from Salazar that led authorities to dig up the backyard Tuesday and find James Stein’s body.

Times staff writer Robert Faturechi has more on the sheriff's investigation: "Mystery envelops Lennox home where bodies were buried"
