Riordan to recite Gettysburg Address at Lincoln event

Students from Lincoln and Birmingham Community Charter high schools will participate in the event, which marks the birth of the nation’s 16th president.

The event will be from noon to 2 p.m. and is free to attend. It will include music from Lincoln's era performed by the Backyard Band. Actress Gigi Perreau will emcee.

Speakers will include Lynette D. Parker, the cemetery’s director; and Louis Perez from Homeboy Industries, said event organizer Duke Russell.

Los Angeles National Cemetery is at 950 S. Sepulveda Blvd., Westwood.
