Partly cloudy skies, cool temperatures expected throughout the week

Partly cloudy skies and cool temperatures are forecast throughout Southern California over the next few days, with a slight chance of showers by week's end.

Daytime highs of 60 degrees and nighttime lows of 50 degrees are expected to linger from Monday through  Thursday, said Stuart Seto, a weather specialist with the National Weather Service. Friday and Saturday, there's a 30% chance of showers.

Moderate rain fell on the region Saturday, with scattered bursts of pebble-sized hail reported throughout the day.

By nightfall, nearly half an inch of rain had fallen in downtown Los Angeles since the storm first arrived Feb. 17. Rainfall reached more than an inch in Van Nuys and nearly 2 inches in Agoura, weather services said.  Hail also was spotted in Goleta, Temple City, Whittier and on the 110 Freeway at Slauson Avenue, the weather service said.

I like the article. I am now a private citizen, however knowledge haves been brought to my attention of potential heavy rain or Arcstorm. Is this of any real concern? Should I be worried for my family that lives their? Thank you for your time.
