Man is wounded by sheriff's deputy after pursuit in East L.A.
A man was shot and wounded Monday night by a deputy in East Los Angeles after a brief pursuit.
The chase began about 8:20 p.m. and ended about 20 minutes later near Triggs Street and Sunol Drive, where the deputy shot the suspect, said Sgt. Michael Thomas of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
Thomas said he was not sure what prompted the pursuit, nor did he know the extent of the suspect’s injuries. No deputies were injured.
Investigators were at the scene. No further information was available.

There's a lot of good hardworking people in East LA, but its obvious this guy isn't one of them. He was running for a reason, it's not like he got shot at random. I support the Sheriff and their crackdown on hoodlums that decay society. I would never give the benefit of a doubt to a knucklehead running from the police...

He shouldn’t have stolen my brother’s truck either, but he decided to do it, so he must pay the consequences! You can’t just go around steeling cars, running from and pointing guns at police officers, but this was this glasshead’s way of life. Sooner or later it had to catch up to him!

I understand that he broke the law but again he is someone's son, father and friend. He is going to pay the price but with his life is a bit much. Just remember he could be your family member. If it's pleasure that you get when posting these comments, then your some sick SOB....

Kudos @ annoyed.
WOW!! So by what people are posting, I'm guessing nobody knows someone that just happened to take the wrong turn in life. I bet the rest of you lead perfect lives and don’t know anybody that has made mistakes in life. I wonder if you all would think the same if this happened to be your father, sibling, uncle, or close friend. We don't know what this guy has gone thru in life or what situation he was in to do have done this. YES its NOT and excuse but everyone seems to use it right? There are people out there that have done waaaaaay worse than steal somebody’s car and they are still out there. It’s just sickening to see how people can get so much pleasure out of someone getting shot down while his family watched.
