Man shot on MTA bus on Eagle Rock Boulevard in Glassell Park [Updated]

Map shows location of shooting in black, and recent reported crimes. Click through for more information on the area in The Times' interactive project, Mapping L.A. A 40-year-old man was shot and wounded Wednesday on an MTA bus in Glassell Park.

Los Angeles police detectives are trying to determine what prompted the shooting, which occurred as the bus was in the 3700 block of Eagle Rock Boulevard near Fletcher Drive.

[Updated at 11:30 a.m.: A previous version of this post incorrectly said the incident occurred near Riverside Drive.]

The man was shot inside the bus about 10:30 a.m. There were no other reports of injuries on the bus.

The suspect fled from the scene.
