L.A. Weather: Gusty winds to stick around for another day

February 2, 2011 |  7:59 pm

Gusty northeast winds will continue over parts of the Southland throughout Wednesday night and into Thursday afternoon, the National Weather Service said.

A wind advisory will remain in effect until Thursday afternoon for the mountains of Los Angeles County, where forecasters are expecting winds to gust up to 45 mph, especially in the canyons and passes.

The winds will also continue in the Inland Empire and Orange County, with gusts up to 30 mph.

An advisory for the Santa Clarita Valley and San Fernando Valley was canceled late Wednesday because winds were expected to begin  diminishing overnight, according to forecasters.
