Lindsay Lohan gives DNA sample, posts bail [Updated]

Actress Lindsay Lohan posted bail and left the Airport Courthouse on Wednesday afternoon, avoiding the media circus gathered outside.

Los Angeles County sheriff's deputies booked Lohan at 2:01 p.m. and swabbed her mouth to obtain a DNA sample, a requirement for felony cases. She will return to court Feb. 23.

[Corrected, 5:29 p.m.: An earlier version of this posted incorrectly said Lohan was booked at 3:01 p.m.]

Earlier, Lohan had pleaded not guilty to a felony grand theft charge and accusations that she stole a $2,500 necklace from a Venice jewelry store.

She was reprimanded by Los Angeles County Superior Court Judge Keith L. Schwartz, who admonished the actress that she was no different from anyone else and told her, "Don't push your luck."

Lohan is already on probation for a misdemeanor drunk driving conviction. If it is determined that the recent charge violates terms of her probation, she will probably face more jail time.
