Crime alerts for Eagle Rock, Sherman Oaks, Brentwood and Exposition Park

Crime reports are up significantly for the latest week in four L.A. neighborhoods, according to an analysis of LAPD data by the Los Angeles Times’ Crime L.A. database.

Two neighborhoods reported a significant increase in violent crime. Eagle Rock (A) was the most unusual, recording four reports compared with a weekly average of 1.3 over the last three months.

Sherman Oaks (C) topped the list of two neighborhoods with property crime alerts. It recorded 51 property crimes compared with its weekly average of 34.1 over the last three months.

Alerts are based on an analysis of crime reports for Feb. 12–Feb. 18, the most recent seven days for which data are available.
