Crime alerts for Vermont Knolls, Silver Lake and two other L.A. neighborhoods
Crime reports are up significantly for the latest week in four L.A. neighborhoods, according to an analysis of LAPD data by the Los Angeles Times’ Crime L.A. database.
Three neighborhoods reported a significant increase in violent crime. Vermont Knolls (A) recorded nine reports compared with a weekly average of 5.9 over the last three months.
Silver Lake (D) was the lone neighborhood with a property-crime alert. It recorded 22 property crimes compared with its weekly average of 12.7 over the last three months.
Alerts are based on an analysis of crime reports for Feb. 7–13, the most recent seven days for which data are available.
