Crime alerts for Panorama City, Mission Hills and five other L.A. neighborhoods

Crime reports are up significantly for the latest week in seven L.A. neighborhoods, according to an analysis of LAPD data by the Los Angeles Times’ Crime L.A. database.

Three neighborhoods reported a significant increase in violent crime. Panorama City (A) was the most unusual, recording 13 reports compared with a weekly average of 6.5 over the last three months.

Mission Hills (D) topped the list of four neighborhoods with property crime alerts. It recorded 14 property crimes compared with its weekly average of 7.2 over the last three months.

Alerts are based on an analysis of crime reports for Feb. 6–Feb. 12, the most recent seven days for which data are available.
