Body discovered buried in Lennox backyard

Homicide detectives exhumed a body Tuesday buried in the backyard of a home in Lennox.

Authorities started excavating the backyard of a suspected drug house on the 4800 block of 112th Street early Tuesday in response to reports that human remains were buried there, said Det. Joe Romero of the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department.

Homicide detectives were led to the home during the course of a missing person investigation, he said. They were searching with investigators from the L.A. County coroner's office for any other human remains at the house.
