Woman fatally stabbed in Lawndale identified

Authorities have identified the body of a 22-year-old woman found stabbed to death early Saturday in Lawndale.

Eileen Elizabeth Garnreiter of Lawndale was found in the 4100 block of Rosecrans Avenue about 1:30 a.m., Los Angeles County sheriff’s Deputy Lillian Peck and a coroner’s investigator said.

No other details were available. Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call sheriff's homicide detectives at (323) 890-5500.

Eileen went to school with me and was in one of my classes. We weren't like best friends or anything, I didn't know here that well. But she was a sweet and smart girl. Very pretty and full of life.
