UPDATED POST: Suspect in Gardena High School shooting surrenders; students in classroom safe
A student dressed in black who allegedly shot three fellow pupils at Gardena High School was holed up in a classroom, according to police.
Police were talking to the alleged gunman, but he has not surrendered.
The shooting occurred about 10:30 a.m. on the campus at 1301 W. 182nd St. The alleged gunman apparently pulled the gun out of his backpack. When all is said and done, I'll be partly to blame as a lawful gun owner with a 'license to carry'.

This will sound detached and dis-ingenuous but Shall we just get rid of kids since we can't get rid of guns?

Why is Sarah Palin getting off scott-free? What's wrong with these media parasites; do they need to get an official white house memo for all their blood libel? Call the sherriff to get things started!

Obviously this poor kid was deeply influenced by the President. "If they bring a knife to the party, we'll bring a gun." Mr. President, words have meaning. Even if they're written on teleprompters!

until modern media reaffirms the value of human life, such tragedies are likely to continue.
But the liberal entertainment industry (movies/tv/music) makes a ton of money on murderous violence, so there is a fat chance that anything will be done.
It's not about guns and gun control, BTW.

I am Very sick at how Easy it is for people to get guns. Something MUST be done about it. I think the US needs to be more like the UK. Only certain police even carry guns in the UK. America is going to HECK, FAST!

So in AZ the gunman opened fire and it was republican's fault plus the lacks AZ gun laws.
Whose fault is it when a gunman opens fire in Cali, the liberal capital of America. Are we claiming they have lacks gun laws also?

This is just another example of what our society has been reduced to I was raised to believe that America was te land of the free... More like the land of the oppressed we can all stop the violence and the tyranny that the new world order has to offer they like it when we kill each other it makes their jobs easier one day Everything will be right in the world but until that day we fight to preserve the true American spirit this mental enslavement has to end stand up and unite for the time will come where age, race, or religion will matter we need to stand as humans and not lAbel our selves viva la resistencia!!!!!!!

Ok I know where the blames resides in in the store called Target, look at the name and it's symbol a big red bullseye.
I might be wrong and Sarah Palins fault with those surveyors marks she used, We know that the DCC will never be accused even when they used Targets symbol on their maps.

The time has come to begin cleaning up the schools. This person has brought this gun to school multiple times. I know the area. The fact is children are pressured and live in a highly tosic world. It is time to separate the kids who are in school to learn and the kids we are just keeping off the streets.... waiting for the innocent to get hurt. Protect the children and crack down on the violence. Zero tollerance. Come on if you smoke you are banned from everywhere.... Guns are treated like no big deal....... Teachers and faculty need to know there students like I do... Random checks lol. CHECK this is an area know for this. My friend moved her kid out of area because a two kids that went to that school walked up to hi m and said what gang are you in ,,,, and he said huh and they sliced his right ear off.. Oh but the school never hears this because he was no longer on campus.. and the time of the incident....Most of the children are there to learn ... so lets give them the environment to do so they deserve it. The child who was involved may be a good kid .....But not a bright one because he is careless... and I hope he has to be accountable for the medical bills then he will really be sorry.... joyce bruhn
