2011 SPACE ODYSSEY: The Webb Schools' observatory in Claremont was opened up on Jan. 21 so that students could view the vast array of stars visible in the clear sky. A nearly full moon provided all the natural lighting necessary to pull off this two-second tripod-mounted picture, says the photographer, Scott Nichols, communications coordinator at Webb.
