Man killed by gunfire in Lynwood
Detectives were in Lynwood on Wednesday night investigating the death of a man slain by gunfire.
The shooting was reported shortly before 9 p.m in the 3200 block of Euclid Avenue, the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department said.
The victim was pronounced dead at a local hospital.
Since January 2007, there have been at least 29 homicides reported in Lynwood, according to a database by The Times' Homicide Report.
Anyone with information in Wednesday's killing is asked to call detectives at (323) 890-5500.

Another senseless killing, a young life taken too soon. I knew the person who was killed. May he rest in peace. He was a sweet young man. Many thought of him as a big teddy bear. He was loved by those who knew him and will be missed. My thoughts and prayers are with his family.

His name was Hugo Aguilar. He is missed and survied by his mother.father and sister.. We miss you HUGO.. Always in our hearts!!
