Man found dead in Santa Ana River in Orange County

Authorities are trying to determine the circumstances under which the body of a man got into the Santa Ana River.
Jesus Enrique Perez, 24, of Garden Grove, was pulled from the mud and brush in the middle of the dry riverbed after witnesses spotted his body about 9:30 a.m. Thursday morning.
Police said there were no signs of foul play and that it appeared Perez had drowned.
Orange County sheriff's deputies found Perez's car parked near Fifth Street and Fairview Road in Santa Ana. His body was found near Adams Avenue where the river serves as a boundary between Costa Mesa and Huntington Beach.
