Crime alerts for Shadow Hills, Tarzana and six other L.A. neighborhoods
Crime reports are up significantly for the latest week in eight L.A. neighborhoods, according to an analysis of Los Angeles Police Department data by the Los Angeles Times’ Crime L.A. database.
Six neighborhoods reported a significant increase in violent crime. Shadow Hills (A) was the most unusual, recording three reports compared with a weekly average of 0.3 over the last three months.
Tarzana (G) topped the list of two neighborhoods with property crime alerts. It recorded 26 property crimes compared with its weekly average of 16.0 over the last three months.
Alerts are based on an analysis of crime reports for Jan. 8–14, the most recent seven days for which data are available.
