Five injured, one critically, in Woodland Hills crash

Five people were injured, one critically, when two cars collided Sunday in Woodland Hills.

The crash occurred in the 6000 block of De Soto Avenue, just north of the Ventura (101) Freeway, at about 9:30 a.m.

The critically injured person had to be extricated from a vehicle, said Los Angeles City Fire Department spokesman Devin Gales. Four other people suffered minor injuries.  All of the injured were transported to local hospitals.

Further information on the cause of the crash and identities the victims was not immediately available.
