Crime reports for the latest week are up significantly in six L.A. neighborhoods, according to an analysis of LAPD data by The Times’ Crime L.A. database.

Three neighborhoods reported a significant increase in violent crime. Highland Park (A) was the most unusual, recording seven reports compared with a weekly average of 3.3 over the last three months.

San Pedro (D) topped the list of three neighborhoods with property crime alerts. It recorded 62 property crimes compared with its weekly average of 42.0 over the last three months.

Alerts are based on an analysis of crime reports for Dec. 23–Dec. 29, the most recent seven days for which data are available.
