2 people found dead at Stanton motel

January 28, 2011 |  5:38 pm

Orange County sheriff’s deputies on Friday were investigating the suspicious deaths of a man whose body was found in a Stanton motel room and a woman whose body was found in a vehicle parked outside.

The grisly discovery at the Motel 6 near the intersection of Katella and Western avenues is either a murder-suicide or double homicide, said Sheriff's Department spokesman Jim Amormino.

Deputies responded to the motel after the manager called authorities to say that a man “acting suspiciously” had entered a room after exiting a black GMC sport-utility vehicle, Amormino said. Deputies approached the vehicle and found the body of the woman in the rear seat, he said.

Authorities then found a man's body in a motel room, where a window was broken, Amormino said.

No information was immediately available on the causes of death or the identities of the deceased.
