Video shows Anaheim liquor store clerk pulling gun on armed robbers

Surveillance video released by the Anaheim Police Department shows a liquor store clerk pulling a gun in self-defense during an armed robbery.

Two men walked into AC Liquor Store and Mini Market in the 1100 block of South State College Boulevard about 11 p.m. on Dec. 4, said Sgt. Rick Martinez of the Anaheim Police Department.

One of them, wearing a light-gray hooded sweatshirt, pulled out a what appeared to be a handgun and demanded cash, while the second man walked to the back of the store to grab two cases of beer.

The store clerk pulled out his own gun when the armed robber became distracted with retrieving the money on the counter, Martinez said.

“The clerk recognized he had a small window of opportunity,” Martinez said. “He was armed and pointed his handgun in self-defense.”

The two men fled in what may have been a small dark pickup truck with a small amount of cash and two cases of beer, Martinez said.

The men were described as Latinos in their early 20s, one weighing about 200 pounds and the other with a slim build, Martinez said.

Hope those lads realise they almost got killed for a little bit of cash and beer.
Hope his momma see the video and slaps the fool silly.

What an opportunity to shoot the bad guy in the head...the robber could have easily shot the cashier before leaving to get rid of the witness...

Could imagine taking a bullet to the brain for $50 and some beer...

That bad guy is luckier than the Iraqis who ran off the bridge before the US destroyed it with a missile or two as narrated by Gen Schwartzkopf...

why didnt he blast him

Gives a new name to "Cash & Carry."

The clerk should of shot him

Julios at their best in America.I bet the parents are proud.....oh wait, they're already in prison.

the clerk should of let off a couple rounds!! these idiots need to be taught a lesson. GET A JOB!

Why bother pulling out your gun if you are not going to use it? What a great chance to get rid of couple of scums and feel good about it.

hey i live right buy the sotre i went to buy some candy and the guy is my home boy and he said that the gun the guys had was a fake omg i fliped the f out when i saw that. that was the 3 time that he got robbed
