Two men wounded, one critically, in Echo Park shooting

Click through for more from The Times' Crime L.A. project.Two men were wounded Thursday in a shooting in Echo Park, where police arrested a suspect after he crashed his car at a carwash.

The 1:30 p.m. shooting occurred near Sunset Boulevard and Everett Street, LAPD spokesman Richard French said.

One victim was in critical condition at a hospital with a gunshot wound to the head and the other was shot in the wrist. Neither had been identified.

Police arrested the suspect a short time later at the Best Way Hand Car Wash.

The LAPD is investigating.
