A series of earthquakes -- the largest a 4.4 magnitude -- struck Imperial County on Wednesday morning.

The 4.4 temblor hit four miles from Brawley at 11:16 a.m. A 3.7 quake hit at 10:59 a.m., at about the same location. A 3.5 quake hit a minute later, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

The quakes were felt in the region, but there were no reports of damage or injuries.

The Imperial County area has seen a burst of seismic activity after the Easter Sunday 7.2 temblor that hit Mexicali.
