Rain moves into Southern California

Last weekend's heat wave is but a distant memory as clouds and rain began moving into Southern California.

Light showers are hitting many areas and temperatures have dipped into the high 40s.

"We have rain chances today with a little bit of clearing in some areas tomorrow," said Bonnie Bartling, a weather specialist with the National Weather Service in Oxnard. "Today is a weakening front with drizzle…. Friday through Tuesday will bring more precipitation.”

Rain will continue into the weekend as clouds roll in after a possibly semi-sunny Thursday and a 70% chance of showers by Friday night. Lows will be in the mid-40s.

"It will be a wet weekend, into next week," Bartling said.

OH YEAH!!!!

That darned global warming we had on Sunday went away and now we have a week + of lower than average temps.... save me Al Gore, save me!

Global climate change predictions expect a long-term trend of temperature increase with short-term fluctuations. That means any given year could be colder or hotter but the overall trend will be hotter. So what to do with the skeptics? Let's see how loud they yell when droughts kill crops and food prices increase, island nations go under water and catastrophic weather events are on the rise. It's no laughing matter.

Great, I'm in LA from Saturday to Tuesday for some nice weather and I get caught in a "freak rain storm"!
