Navy doctor's wife arrested in husband's killing in San Diego

The wife of a Navy doctor has been arrested on suspicion of murder after the doctor was found stabbed to death in their San Diego condominium.

Police on Tuesday arrested Jennifer Trayers, 42, after finding the body of Frederick Trayers, a doctor at the Naval Medical Center San Diego. Jennifer Trayers had suffered stab wounds and is now under guard at a local hospital.

Frederick Trayers was a battalion surgeon with the Marines and was considered an expert in the treatment of battlefield wounds. Police went to the Trayers' home after he missed several shifts at the hospital. He was found dead, and his wife was found with stab wounds.
