Disneyland: The busiest place on Earth?

Along with being the "happiest place on Earth," Disneyland may also have been the busiest Tuesday.

Park officials had to stop selling tickets for the second straight day, said Disney spokeswoman Betsy Sanchez.

"This is a very busy time of year for us," Sanchez said. "We're extremely popular."

After about 10 a.m., patrons were directed to Disney California Adventure. Sanchez would not say how many people were in the park.

"We never get into specifics about our numbers here," she said.

I'll never understand what people see in that place.

What recession?

"We never get into specifics about our numbers, here." lol

So much for people suffering throught the recession...

They raise ticket prices every year, and every year more people pack into the place so much they have to stop selling tickets!

Disneyland obviously is selling an extremely popular product that people can't get enough of. More ticket price increases ahead in 2011, and more of these stories talking about closing the gates and stopping ticket sales due to huge crowds.

May be the "busiest," but not "happiest" place on earth.

You mean I will not be able to buy the 5.00 small bottles of water?

Should have gone when it was raining. We were there last week Tuesday and it was great! Short lines with 5-10 minute wait at most and it the rain wasn't bad. We layered up with sweaters and leggings under our jeans, ponchos, and individual umbrellas.

Rescession?

When Disneyland opened in 1955 there were about 166 million people living in the United States. Today there are 308 million people. That doesn't account for the coming of the jet age and foreigners wanting to see California and the orignal Disneyland. The park itself hasn't expanded (it can't really), unless you count California Adventure, which really isn't the same venue and is far less famous.

Happiness comes out of disney, kids all around of the world come to Mickeys house. GREAT PLACE TO BE.

I guess all those people from arizona didn't boycott Cali like they said they would... (kidding of course)...

No surprise - it's a flutin' peak season! I hope those people learned that the Monday after Thanksgiving and the week before Christmas are less hectic times to go!

When they made year passes available on payment plans, it made it affordable to everybody that has nothing to do but spend time in Anaheim, and now everyone and their mother bought one and is now overcrowding the place
