Crews in O.C. work to repair damage caused by storm

Crews in Orange County were working Wednesday evening to repair damage caused by the powerful storm that barreled across the area. Mudslide Closure Map

In San Juan Capistrano, workers were planning to drop truckloads of rock into San Juan Creek to fill holes created after concrete panels buckled, officials said. The damage prompted a voluntary evacuation order for several area homes.

Near the eastern side of the county, a stretch of the 241 tollway, which was shut down after morning mudflows, will remain closed in both directions until at least Thursday morning, officials said.

The closure affected the artery from the 133 tollway junction to Santiago Canyon Road.
