Woman killed in freeway shooting [Updated]

The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department is investigating a car-to-car shooting on a freeway in Compton that left a woman dead Friday night.

According to Deputy Guillermina Saldana, the shooting occurred about 8:15 p.m. on the Artesia Freeway at Wilmington Avenue. The identity of the woman killed has not been released. Authorities said she was able to drive her car to a gas station but died before she could be taken to a hospital.

Investigators said they had no motive or suspect information at this time.
