Windy, cool weekend on tap for Southern California
A windy weekend is on tap for Southern California.
According to the National Weather Service, daytime temperatures will hit the 70s and 80s with clear skies, but it will get cold at night, with temperatures dropping to the 50s and 40s.
A hard-freeze warning was issued for parts of the Antelope Valley, where temperatures are exepcted to drop below 32 degrees.
Wind gusts of 15-20 mph are in the forecast, though some mountain and canyon areas could see stronger gusts on Friday.
Thursday saw some significant wind gusts, causing some power outages:
Leo Carrillo Beach: 36 mph
Malibu Hills: 53 mph
Saugus: 30 mph
Lake Palmdale: 30 mph
