November 5, 2010 |  6:55 pm

Huntington Beach police arrested a man on suspicion of felony drunk driving Friday afternoon after his Toyota pickup truck crashed into an ambulance that had its siren and flashing lights activated, authorities said.

The collision occurred at Bolsa Chica Street and Tasman Drive as the Huntington Beach Fire Department ambulance was taking a patient to a hospital.

Tristan Johnson, 36, of Bellflower allegedly drove into the intersection and struck the driver's side of the ambulance.

Two ambulance operators and two paramedics with the Orange County Fire Authority were treated at a  hospital for minor injuries, said Jeff Lopez of the Huntington Beach Fire Department.

The patient in the ambulance was not injured and taken to the hospital in a different ambulance.

Johnson, who did not suffer any injuries, was arrested at the scene, authorities said.
