Victim of South Gate carjacking, shooting dies

A woman shot during a South Gate carjacking early Friday has died, and Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department detectives are continuing to search for the man and woman suspected of stealing her sport utility vehicle.

The two are believed to still be in possession of the gray 2005 Infiniti Q56 with the license plate 6MHC829.

The victim was shot multiple times in the 2:20 a.m. carjacking, and died after being brought to a hospital, said Lt. Darren Arakawa of the Sheriff's Department.

The victim has not yet been identified, but investigators said she lived in a nearby city. She was driving north in the 8900 block of San Juan Avenue when she was carjacked, authorities said.

After she was shot, she was dragged from the SUV and left bleeding in the street, officials said.

The suspects then drove away in the SUV, heading north on San Juan and then east on Firestone Boulevard, officials said.

Nobody cares if a minority dies. If a hispanic kills a white person then its TOP NEWS.

Monsters.

Death penalty, anyone?

My sincere condolonces go out for her family.

Lets not blame the economy for this type of crime, if you are going to steal something b/c you do not have $$ steal food, (not that stealing is correct) but don't go out killing innocent people.

Let God give peace to her family and friends.

When I read stories like this I have to ask myself who are the bums that keep capital punishment tied up in court for decades.

May she Rest In Heaven, I said I prayer for her as I heard the news, hoping she would recover...but never the less she was taken from this world, her family and friends due to the mayhem in the streets, People that kill for someones possessions in my book is a low life and should be killed why support them in jail?? Hate is not the answer but times like this I question my religion, because I would say an eye for an eye, they should be expired from this world!! nothing but scum, I hope the victim of this horrible crime visit them every night and tortures them in their sleep... May her family be strong at this time and they should know that this story has touched the hearts of many and they will all be in our prayers May she rest in peace!

Truly unbelievable. May God rest her soul. And these murderers be brought to justice. I pray for her family to be comforted and consoled by our Lord , Jesus Christ.

we live in a disgusting evil world where they will kill you for 10 cents let alone a SUV... the vehicle is bound for Mexico to be chop shopped and sold.

Perfect.

I know sooner finish commenting on one sickening crime and anothe one pops up.

Same people committing the same crimes over and over.

Let me guess??? Car Jacking?? Odds of being a white guy is 1 in a million.

Sick of watching my beautyful State go down the drain.

Remember folks. Guns don't kill people, people kill people. Just keep telling yourselves that.

Wow I live in south gate and this is so uncommon. There has to be more to this story..

Very sad situation. like was mentioned earlier condolensences go out to all family of this woman.

I keep reading reports that the crime rate in L.A. County is going down then I read about children killed on Halloween and now this poor woman is murdered while driving home. Baca, Beck what's going on?

Welcome to Northern Mexico.

I am so sick and tired of the violence happening in Los Angeles! These two animals killed a woman for her car? People, don't be driving at all times of the night in dodgy neighborhoods, it's not safe.

I live very close to where this incident happened. It's very shocking to hear stories like these. I hope the criminals are caught and given the punishment that they deserve. Poor woman was left on the street bleeding to death. RIP.

Be on guard ladies while driving.

But crime is going down !
The mayor and the chief of police are lying through there teeth cherry picking statistics while we sink in to the abyss!!
The police always arrive after the fact and they are getting slaughtered out there by the crooks !!
Time to take back our streets people we need to change our gun laws and empower the citizens no more helpless victims!!

See a crime? Report it, don't let it go because is people you know. This is no regular carjacking, there has got to be more to this story. This is the type of crimes that Mexico started with a while back. We gotta do something and we have to do it now. Southgate is not the worst part of L.A. but it seems like the worst part of humanity is around it.

I work graveyardshift get off at 4:00am and Live in southgate... U better believe I'm carrying something with me at all times.. You'll just never know!

These folks make it seem like SG is heaven on earth lets be realistic now, SG isnt what it used to be its crime rates are up. Too many criminals live in SG. Ive lived in SG for about 30 yrs. trust me I want out now especially now that I have children. I'd like the best for my family and SG is now far from it. We need more police patrolling.Police need todo their job more effectively instead of messing around and officers here are married with kids but manage to have girlfriends in South Gate and dont focus on the job. It takes them forever to arrive when a phone call is made its too much!!!

If the perpretrators turn out to be illegal immigrants, you'd better clear the tracks, because you're going to see outrage like you've never seen. And it could get violent.
