Downtown L.A. registers another record high temperature

Downtown Los Angeles hit a record high of 97 degrees Wednesday afternoon, the National Weather Service said.

Yes, on Nov. 3.

The high, reached at 12:52 p.m., surpassed the record of 96 degrees recorded in 1900.

Wednesday's high was 21 degrees above the typical high for Nov. 3 of 76 degrees, weather service figures indicate.

The higher-than-average temperatures are expected to continue Thursday, although it won’t be as hot as Wednesday. The weather service forecast a Thursday high downtown of 90.

But the heat will probably subside in time for a cool and breezy weekend. A sunny high of 79 is expected for Friday, and the highs in the 70s will last through the weekend.

Must be from HELL, next door, where the most uneducated put Hairy Reid back at the Taxpayer/special interest trough.

Robert I believe you are the uneducated one. Wait until the Republicans raid Social Security and the elderly have nothing to fall back on.

>>Robert NO longer in LA

Thank God...

Yes, even the weather elicits foaming-at-the-mouth, barely-English rantings of the "Tea Party"

and to think that the Tea Baggers think that global warming is a myth

What do you expect ith all the hot air the liberals have been spewing out.lol

That headline had me thinking that Proposition 19 had passed!

Well they have good company from the rest of the idiots that voted Jerry Brown back as Governor and that arrogant self serving b*tch Barbara Boxer. What has she done for California except help business leave in droves. All we have left are illegal aliens, gang bangers and the dope smokers who want to sit around all day and get high.

LA's The Place, I voted yesterday and voted a straight Democratic ticket, so kiss my ass, smooch.

@ LA's The Place: If that's "all that's left here," which of those 3 categories do you fall into?

If you think Carly Fiorina's laying off 30,000 workers before taking a $21 million severance package from HP qualifies as "self serving," then I would firmly place you in your category #3.

How do conservatives turn every single thing into something political?! This story is about the weather in LA, period! WTF?! Get a life!

All we have are illegals, gang bangers and dope smokers...yes. But how would not voting for brown or boxer have changed that? Oh you mean whitman who hires illegal workers as housemaids? Or fiorina who would have ripped off the taxpayers even more to fatten her own personal fund? After all THAT is the real retard-lican agenda yes? Look after number one first and to pluto with everyone else? Thank goodness at least in Cali we have common sense to elect dems.
