O.C. man booked on suspicion of having sex with underage girl

Sam Robertson A 41-year-old Newport Beach man has been booked on suspicion of having sex with an underage girl, authorities said Wednesday.

Sam Robertson was arrested Tuesday night by investigators who had staked out a park in Ladera Ranch, where Robertson was allegedly planning to meet the girl, the Orange County Sheriff's Department said.

Authorities declined to release the girl's age but said she was younger than 13.

Investigators were alerted after the girl's mother discovered that Robertson had allegedly exchanged text messages with her daughter, said Lt. Jerry Carlsen.

He said Robertson was booked on suspicion of multiple counts of having sexual relations with a minor. Robertson was jailed while investigators continue their probe, Carlsen said.

This creep fits the criminal profile of a typical pedophile, male White 30-40 years old. I hope the cops out there are stopping and investigating this target demographic on a regular basis.

Parents need to monitor what their kids are doing online. Computers should be in a common room not a kids bedroom.
