Man killed by Metrolink train in Inland Empire

A pedestrian died Monday after being struck by a Metrolink train in Upland.

The unidentified adult male was hit by the commuter train about 4:30 p.m. on the tracks between Euclid and San Antonio avenues, Upland Police Lt. Cliff Mathews said.

Mathews said he had no information on the cause or circumstances of the incident.

The tracks are closed while the investigation is in progress. Mathews could not say when they would reopen.
