Man wanted in Santa Ana rape case arrested after illegally entering U.S. from Mexico

An illegal immigrant wanted on a rape charge in Santa Ana was arrested after he entered the United States from Mexico, authorities said Wednesday night.

Ismael Calixto Ortiz was apprehended Monday  after a scuffle with Border Patrol agents in Imperial Beach, authorities said. Ortiz allegedly tried to grab the holstered gun of one of the agents.

Ortiz is accused of entering a Santa Ana woman's home in January 2005 through an unlocked sliding glass door, said Cpl. Anthony Bertagna of the Santa Ana Police Department. The woman was sleeping with her children at the time.

"He rapes her and tells her if she screams or talks or calls anybody after he was done, he would kill the kids," Bertagna said. "He was on the run ever since."

Authorities plan to return him to Santa Ana to face charges.

Si Se Puede !!!
Like they say"They ONLY come here to work" Yeah Right!!!!

lock up this freeloading scum dirtbag of an animal and throw away the key.

where are dungeons & stockades when you really need them?

He grabs the holstered gun of one of the border guns?? Why wasnt this dirt bag shot dead on the spot???

This person is from the same mold that bought Meg Whitman's little illegal alien piglet.

Don't arrest him, move him right beside some liberal enablers..

The jobs Americans won't do.

They will just deport him instead of putting him in jail. He should be executed. Of course California loves their illegals.

no question and no harm in shooting that suspect.

Outstanding job, U.S. Border Patrol! Thanks for this apprehension.

Castrate him.

And this filthy border hopper probably receives foord stamps, WIC, and UI benefits; all at the expense of US taxpayers.... Cut his junk off and send him back over the Rio Grande.

Could someone from the Times please follow up on this report to make sure the Border Patrol didn't use excessive force or violate this gentleman's rights when he was taken into custody. I really hate when that happens.

This is blatant xenophobic propaganda. Everyone knows that all immigrants whom the border crossed through no fault of their own, are just here to make better lives for themselves and their families working jobs that fat lazy americans don't want anyway.

We need to welcome all these individuals into the country with open arms, a random social security number, free visits to the maternity ward, a stack of food stamps and a monthly check "for the children". Anyone who thinks otherwise are racists trying to keep the brown people down or are colonialists who refuse to acknowledge they stole this land.

Does that about cover the appologist arguements? But really this guy and all the other violent illegal aliens deserve to be slowly fed feet first into a branch chipper with the discharge aimed directly over the border fence.

Close the border now, these animals need to be kept out, we have enough bad seeds here as it is.

Good job Homeland Security! We need to recognize when they get the bad guys!

Such nice outstanding people these Mexicans are!

Wow what was the Border Patrol doing patrolling the border? I though they didn't do that anymore.

And why would you block the police in Ca. from asking legal status? Come one come all criminals. Makes sense to me

Hey he only entered the US to work and support his family.

This type of thing will happen repeatedly in L.A. until we end our sanctuary city policies. Most of the undocumented in So. Cal aren't going to PHYSICALLY harm you. However, some citizens get killed by illegal aliens and some are only seriously injured. This is what happens when we don't know who is coming in and immigration regulations are treated as "optional."

Build a gallows.Hang him.End of problem.

Good for her for going to the police. Too many rape victims do not.

If the borders were secure this might have been adverted. Little consolation for the victim. Please Close and secure the Border Now. It is crucial!!!!!
