1 dead, 7 hurt in Lancaster crash

       One person was killed and seven others injured Thursday evening in a two-car collision in Lancaster, a Los Angeles County fire official said.

        The crash occurred about 7:30 p.m. at Avenue K and 20th Street East, said Los Angeles County fire dispatch supervisor Andre Gougis. One of the victims was dead when paramedics arrived.

      Another suffered moderate injuries while the remaining victims’ injuries were minor, he said. The injured were taken to hospitals, Gougis said.
