Bentley may have fatally hit woman on Sunset Strip

Deputies are looking for the driver of a car, possibly a Bentley, that struck and killed a  21-year-old woman on Sunset Boulevard in West Hollywood.

The woman was crossing Sunset at Hammond Street about 11:50 p.m. Wednesday when she was hit by a luxury car, said Sgt. Chris Tatar of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department. The driver fled in the car, and debris found at the scene suggested the vehicle could have been a dark-colored Bentley, he said.

The unidentified woman is believed to have been walking in a crosswalk, Tatar said.

Investigators were interviewing witnesses Thursday and trying to locate video of the incident to identify the vehicle, Tatar said.

So the Bentley is to blame? The Bentley hit the woman? Did the operator of the Bentley have anything to do with this incident? Thanks for using the word incident instead of accident! :)

@alex Hit and Run is not an accident, it is a crime and the type of car would have to suffice because the cowardly driver left the scene.

I agree with Alex. The DRIVER of a Bentley hit a woman.

really people?? come on, girl died, and you are getting upset about them calling it an incident? really? or blaming the car? wow.

When you are trying to find out if there were witnesses, you relay the information about the car first. That's what witnesses remember most,... the car, not the driver. And in this case, seeing that Bentleys are far from common, a witness is very likely to remember seeing it.

Or if a Bentley is suddenly being taken to a body repair shop, someone is going to notice that, especially when one was just recently identified ina hit and run accident !

Right, should not be to hard to find the person(s) that own this Bentley. It's not like it is a Nissan or Toyota. Find the owner and you may possible find the driver.

my thoughts and prayers go out to the girl and her family i was at the show with her. crazy how unexpected life can be :(
