Woman found dead in burning car at UC San Diego

October 30, 2010 |  7:08 am

The body of a woman was discovered in a burning car in a parking lot at UC San Diego, police said Saturday.

The body was found by firefighters Friday night. The woman has not been identified and the cause of death has not determined, said police Lt. Kevin Rooney.

The discovery marks the second woman found dead this month on a San Diego college campus.

On Oct. 12, Diana Gonzalez, 19, was found fatally stabbed in a restroom at San Diego City College. Her estranged husband, Armando Perez, 37, has been charged with murder but remains a fugitive, thought to be in Tijuana where his car was later found.
