According to the National Weather Service, bands of rains could cause minor flooding along the Orange County coast as well as part of northern San Diego County and the Inland Empire.

Inland areas have been hit by thunderstorms throughout the day, while the conditions in the Los Angeles Basin have been less severe, with scattered showers and cloudy conditions.

The flood warning lasts through at least 8:15 p.m. A separate thunderstorm alert was issued for the Los Angeles area stretching up to San Luis Obispo.
