2 killed in crash of small plane in Agua Dulce

October 21, 2010 |  1:04 pm

A small single-engine plane has crashed in Agua Dulce, killing two.

Details are emerging, but early reports have the unidentified aircraft going down in the high desert foothills around noon Thursday, according to the L.A. County Fire Department.

It isn’t clear yet if the victims were in the plane or on the ground. The crash started a small fire that damaged an adjacent barn. Three horses also suffered injuries.

Given the wet weather, the fire posed little threat of getting out of control and was quickly extinguished, said fire department inspector Matt Levesque.
